Arie Genger is an Israeli born -American entrepreneur who currently lives in Florida. After attending the Tel Aviv Montifiori high school, he served three years in the Israeli Army (IDF). He has a BA and MBA from the City University of New York (CUNY).
Arie Genger’s most recognized business investment has been TRI (Trans Resources Inc.), a company he founded in 1985. TRI, which specializes in the chemical and fertilizer industries, owns the world’s second largest supplier of potassium nitrate, Haifa Chemicals Ltd. Haifa Chemicals produces and then markets, specialty fertilizers and food additives, and operates in 100 countries. It also has 11 subsidiaries of its own.
Arie Genger first got involved in the Israeli market through the fund he established in 1983 – the First American Israeli Technology Fund, or FAIT. This fund’s goal was to get US private sector investors to invest in Israel, a market which was up to that point considered inhospitable to foreign investors.
Arie Genger’s professional career took off when he was appointed in 1973 to be Meshulam Riklis’ assistant. Mr. Riklis was then Rapid American Corporation’s Chairman of the Board. After helping Rapid American Corporation out of some financial difficulties, Arie Genger was promoted to president of the McMroy Corporation, a Rapid American Corporation daughter company. He was at the time the youngest billion dollar corporation president in the United States.
Arie Genger and ex-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel (Arik) Sharon have been close friends since 1976.
Arie Genger also served as a PM Sharon’s confidant, advisor and personal emissary. In 2001-2003 PM Sharon sent Arie Genger to the White House to deliver and relay messages and mediate in diplomatic matters. He participated in meetings with President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.
